Our Story

We’re a family-run pub and inn committed to great food, warm service and a relaxed place to eat, drink, stay and celebrate life’s moments. Since taking over in 2004, the team here has built a reputation for genuine Yorkshire welcome — a place where friends meet, families gather and travellers feel right at home.

The pub’s building has stood for centuries, originally serving as a coaching inn long before Fulford became part of modern York. Today, its historic walls continue to echo with conversation, laughter and the clink of glasses — a testament to its place at the heart of the community.
